Kerik a Pawn?

Maybe I’m a little too suspicious.

After reading this story from the Washington Post, it occurred to me that it has been nearly 3 years since the Kerik scandal broke.  So why, I wonder quietly to myself, has it taken 3 years for federal prosecutors to decide that it is “likely” that Kerik will face felony charges and a (very public) trial?  And why is it now that this situation develops?

  1. WA for Rudy Says:

I think the timing is somewhat questionable, but then again, the long arm of the law doesn’t always move quickly. I think what’s even more telling is how the media is trotting Kerik out as a blight on Giuliani’s presidential bid. It’s a way to taint Rudy’s reputation, and bring in the corruption card.
